Crossfit Opens WOD 13.1

That time of the year is back!! *Insert HAPPY DANCE here!! * The time of the year that we all have been working towards. All those long workouts at the box, all those heavy lift days and long endurance runs are about to pay off. It is the Crossfit Opens Season! Last Wednesday we kicked off the Opens with WOD 13.1  … it was a great way to start the opens competition .. a combination of burpees and snatches. Here is to WOD 13.2 .. come on challenge us cannot wait to see what you bring on tonight!

BEAUTIFULLY STRONG : YOGA JULIE

Here is the first posted session in my personal project “Beautifully Strong”, all about women who are athletes from all different walks of life.  Meet Julie .. a yoga instructor, gymnastics trainer and crossfit athlete. In the past year that I have gotten to know Julie at Crossfit Relentless she has showed me how tough yoga can be. The different poses require so much balance and strength. During our session I really got an appreciation of how much strength yoga requires.

“I feel most beautiful when I eat clean and take time to focus on my personal yoga practice. Being strong to me means setting and achieving goals that push me to my limits. I feel strong when I master a new arm balance or other challenging poses.” – Julie
